The Institution Bahubali College of Engineeing was established during 1997 by His Holiness Jagadguru Karmayogi Swasthisree Charukeerti Bhattaraka Swamiji. The BCE has been recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and approved by the Government of Karnataka. It is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. The institute has been conferred a Jain Religious Minority Status. It is an unaided institution. The BCE offers courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Science and Engineering.
